ABOUT

Hello! I’m Ben smith-price and am a mountaineering and climbing instructor (MCI) based in Fort William, Scotland. 

Having spent most my time growing up in the Yorkshire dales and visiting family in North Wales, being outside on hills and fells is how I spent most my time. I started climbing at my local indoor climbing wall and this got me interested in the world of climbing and mountaineering, and from there followed the natural progression of hill walking, scrambling and rock climbing. Climbing has now taken me all over the U.K. and abroad, providing me with many great memories and moments.

My love for climbing and the outdoors, and the great satisfaction I gain teaching, coaching and helping others achieve their goals, a career in instruction and guiding seemed obvious.

As a fully qualified mountaineering and climbing instructor and a member of the association of mountaineering instructors (AMI), I can provide instruction and guiding in all aspects of summer mountaineering and climbing. 

So whether you're wanting to summit new Munro’s, tick that scramble off the bucket list or gain the skills to become an independent rock climber, I’d love to help you along the way!
